Finally, I wrote a version of Randle’s flashback, that I like

Anywho, here is the first part:

THE NIGHT THE DEMONS DANCED: part 1

“let me tell you a story” my grandfather use to say “a story that would turn the sky crimson, and the rain cold and gray, and I shall never repeat this story, cause if it’s told twice, the demons will dance on the second night”

It was an epic story, filled with monsters and magic, filled with fear and courage. and he never did tell me that story again, even if i begged him, he would never tell that story again, even on his dieing day

“never tell that story twice” he gasped “for the demons will dance on the second night”. soon afterward, he died, and those words hung heavy in my head

One day, i told that story, to a young cousin, He was 3 and barely understood the story, but it was obvious he enjoyed every word, as i did when i was younger

and i too enforced those words, Never tell the story twice, or on the second night, the demons will dance

………but i was always foolish

my young cousin, was 7, and he asked me about the story, he barely remembered it, but it he wanted to hear it again….little Jacob, his eyes will filled with joy, for his memory of that story, he wished to be a Thief like the hero of the story on Halloween. How could i deny him, that story, now that he was older, that he could understand every word….and his gasp of excitement, when i said i would tell him, that story again

It seemed like that night was filled with heavy air, the words seemed to have substance, as i spoke them, for the second time in my life, and this time, it seemed like time itself was moving faster, cause when i was finished.. the sun was setting…and the sky…was a brilliant crimson red, and it was cold… it Hailed, stones of cold dead gray…..

………what a fool i was…cause the date…was the second day of November, and the night..Oh that night…was the night the demons danced.

I had to act quick, I had to act fast. In my bones I knew what was wrong, the demons were going to dance again, and it was all my fault. I heard it, I heard the beats, the music, the sickening sounds,

“Run from us,
flee in fear,
For we will catch you,
and make your body the instruments that fuel our dance,
your flesh shall be the strings we strum until they snap
your skin will be our drums, that will will beat, until it breaks ”

I was so scared, my cousin and I ran to the kitchen, when I heard the sounds of the demons entering the house, that sound, it was so sudden, I was so scared, I had no idea what my cousin Jacob felt, but it must have been nothing less then absolute fear

We got into the kitchen, an that’s when it struck me, I was surrounded by demons, and they were as gruesome as the story described them, sickening, and putrid, they snarled, they growled, but most of all they sang, that same song, that putrid sickening song. I had no choice, I had to relax, there was no reason to let myself succumb to panic, cause that what THEY wanted. I felt the air enter my lungs, it felt like it was my first breath, and that when I remembered that part of the story “he struck them down, with a salted knife, and it stoped them healing, it burnt them from the inside out”. That’s when I grabbed it, a container of salt, it was plastic, cheap, I tossed it at a demon, and almost like a dance, I grabbed a knife, and stabbed it unto the salt, it pierced it quickly, and the blade hit the demon, letting the salt enter its body.

It screamed as the salt burnt it from the inside out, I twisted the blade, and swung it, it left the side of the demon, its blade covered in demon blood and salt, as I struck each demon, each one surprised by my attacks, the salted blade was soon drenched in demon blood. A lone demon came round the corner, with a sword, I recognized the sword as a were-fang blade, a deadly fang, that demons had in the story, it was long and curved, like a wild beasts fang, and it glistened with a primate desire to pierce flesh.
“you can’t get close to me, my blade would cut you before your blade touch me” it mocked, its fanged mouth laughed at me, but I knew another thing about demons, thanks to that story “demon blood, is attracted to other demons, it yearns to live, so it seeks other demons wanting to live longer and stronger”. I threw the kitchen knife, its was a clumsy throw, but the demon blood on its blade, made it hit the demon in the neck, its salted and blood blade burned the demon away, leaving its were-fang blade on the ground, in the burnt bloody remains of its owner.

My heart was beating like mad, I could not believe what happened, I turned to my cousin……and that’s when it hit me..both my father and mother never had siblings…where did my cousin come from, I never met his mother, or his father, or anyone in his family…”demons can assume human form, so real that no one would doubt them” said the story…my cousin made me tell that story twice, and he never was real, and that became more and more apparent as the demon blood oozed towards Jacob, it was carrying split salt, I could smell the burning of the salt against the blood.
“help me” Jacob begged, as the salted blood started covering his feet, I was speechless as I watched,
“No no NOOOO” screamed the Jacob-demon, as the salted blood soon covered him, burning in as it entered his mouth, ears, and eyes, and I just watched….the weight of the situation getting heavier and heavier on me,

IT was my fault

I was a fool

I told the story twice

But my grandfather, told me one other thing before he died….the story, it was a guide on how to destroy demons….a cursed story, that tells how to kill demons, but if told twice by the same person lets the demons loose. I knew what I had to do, I had to be the rouge of the story, the thief of destiny, I had to stop the demons dance.

That’s right, WOZ is now back, with a bit of breaking of the 4th wall

My word that was a massive hiatus…but am back so people in the street can rejoice!

I will be uploading some posters-images i have done during the hiatus

Should be coming out of hiatus, soon, but at the moment, i am just struggling to get a stable job, and working on some posters for a upcoming comic converntion

But this card has been nothing but trouble! everyday it found new and weird ways to annoy me

First it was my webcam, but i rarely used it so it wasn’t a big deal
Second, it was my soundcards (i have 2 sound cards in my computer, one for skype(inbuilt, stereo) the other for my 5.1 sound system (or King Kickass as i like to call it)), but a reinstall of all drivers worked
Third, the TV program, starts up at 6:30 everyday(can’t figure out why) With the sound set to “WAY TOO LOUD”, but i found if i turned off my sound system, it does blast half the house
Forth and FINAL STRAW!! NOT LETTING ME RUN PHOTOSHOP!! and this isn’t a new version of photoshop that tends to be buggy anyway, this is an old version that i always used, and has never given me a problem

So i was up til 2 last night, removign the card, uninstalling the software, Reinstalling my soundcards (AGAIN!), webcam, and Photoshop

OH and then! i found a virus on my system, thats managed to corrupt my drawing files, including this weeks comic

am going to try and finish it today, if i get the file opened
